Well...that's exactly what I did. Right now I'm sitting in the living room of the gorgeous apartment we rented, typing this and enjoying the beautiful Venice Beach weather.
Los Angeles...I never thought I would ever be here...but hey, here I am!
After all that happened last year...I just took off and ran away to the other side of the world to get my head clear.
And I must say...it works. I'm getting a grip on myself again...and creativity is returning to me as well. So when I return to Germany mid-month, I can finally get to work again.
So...what have I done so far?
After we checked into our hotel in Torrance, we had an evening to chill and relax.
Our first trip took me, my dear friend and roomie Nana and her bf Ed to Pasadena, to watch the BandFest, a competiton of marching bands, preceeding the annual new years' Rose Parade.
Pasadena is awesome...the view on the surrounding mountains was breathtaking.
When the sun went down, it got a bit chilly. I had left my jacket in the car...and wished I hadn't. Ed was so sweet and only minutes later surprized me with a hoodie of the BandFest...sooooooo nice! I put it on and loved it from the first second on.
On new years we went shopping in a local mall...wow...so many cool stores! I got some accessories a wallet and a tumbler...the latter 2 from the Sanrio store. :)
After that we got ready to party and headed to San Pedro, to join a party of friends of Ed.
Wow...that party was AMAZING! I had so much fun and connected with the ppl there.
On Jan. 1st we moved to Venice...and have been here ever since.
Oh...and we went to...wait for it...DISNEYLAND!!!! :) We spent a whole day there...I was SO exhausted in the end and we still didn't get to see all of it. But the rides are really fun!
On the weekend we'll have a BBQ with some friends...still need to buy stuff for that.
