Art post ~ Dreamtime final part ~

It's done. I finished the painting today. About an hour ago or so.

But let's see how it progressed.

As I said...for me the hardest part was yet to come. The other visitor to my garden.

I think there's quite a story to it. As at first I never allowed human visitors to my inner garden...just animals. So I was more than surprised myself, when I saw a human figure there. Clad in a black shimmering robe with bright red hair...and I immediately knew where that one came from.

But to paint him...it took me all my willpower today to dip a brush into paint and put him onto canvas.

 There...the first strokes were done. Now I had to add shape and shadows to it, plus some details on the robe. Oh...and the hair, too.

So far so good. Next up was the face...quite a hard task, since it's no larger than my thumbnail.

 Finally all I had to do was adding some cherry blossoms falling from the tree and I was done!

Well...almost. My signature was still missing. But after that was on the canvas...I was finished! (^_^)

 The finished piece! I'm really happy with the outcome.

So...who can guess the person that inspired me here?
