Art post ~ Dreamtime part 1 ~

My dear +tosh orchid  and I today suddenly had the urge to go shopping for art supplies, new canvas, paint, brushes.

And we did. Luckily the stuff was far from cheap, so I settled for one canvas, a small set of acrylics and a set of brushes.

After finishing the inspirational painting (that I lovingly call my "bamboo forest"), I had no trouble deciding what to paint next.

As it seems, I'm settling on a series of paintings all inspired by this visualisation of my garden. This time I'll be portraying some of my visitors.

Like I learned the hard way with my first painting, I started with ther background first. Up until now I have 3 to 4 layers of paint down. Wanna see?

It's sitting to dry atm. I still have to look up some references, but I'm positive that this will be my best painting yet. (^_^)
