Art post ~ The source of inspiration~

During work, once a week, I attend a special coaching. It's a mix of exercise, meditation and counselling.

Last time I went we did a kind of daydream visualisation thing. I love that stuff and this time I managed NOT to fall asleep. ;)

Anyway...we paid a visit to our inner garden and from there sought out our source of inspiration that lies deep in our heart.

For me that was some kind of revelation...to find such a place inside of me. Barbara, our counsellor, guided us to it by saying that we should visualise a spring of clear water.

I did and while I expected it to be some sad little stream...I encountered a wild bubbling spring that burst from some rocks in the middle of a bamboo forest. The image was SO strong that I had to sketch it.

A few days later I felt the urge to paint it...and today I finished it. Nothing grand and others could prolly do it better...but it is what I saw...what I carry deep in my heart.

There were two other really strong images in my mind that day...maybe I will find a way to paint them too.
